またまたジョークの筋とは関係ないのですが、基本的には"blond"が男性で"blonde"が女性だと辞書にありました。男女平等主義の流れの中で男性も女性も"blond"にすべきだという意見が強くなっているようですが（salesman→salespersonみたいな感じでしょうか）、"a blonde"という名詞は女性だと考えるのが普通だと思います。
あえて、男性であるとの記載をしたのは何故でしょうか？出展元に男性であるとの注釈があったのでしょうか？瑣末なことで済みません。

そういう、決まりがあるのを知りませんでした。
コンドーム買うのって男性だと思って、文脈で決めました。
ご指摘の通り、女性でも意味が通りますね。というか、you just rolled ... のyouが、店員(or男性一般)を指していると考えると女性であるほうが自然ですね。

あ、そうだったんですか。実は私も今回辞書を引いてみて初めて知りました。
ところで、オチの日本語訳が「俺」になっているので、これも女性の台詞っぽく変えたほうが良いと思います。:-)
